About Brianna Luna Pendleton, PhD
I am a clinical-depth psychologist from Pacifica Graduate Institute. I received my masters in clinical pastoral counseling from Loyola University. Currently, I am a psychoanalytic candidate at the Washington Center for Psychoanalysis in Washington, DC.
My childhood experiences growing up on a farm in Maine plus my various outdoor adventures, including a cross-Atlantic crossing at 17 years of age in a 38 ft sailboat,
cultivated in me a respect for the unknown.
I bring this attitude of respect to my work as a psychologist because I believe it is essential for healing.
Courage, curiosity, faith, and a sincere desire to understand oneself are also vital to the psychotherapeutic relationship and ultimately, to the success of treatment.
Finally, my doctoral research in the role of spirituality in the treatment of trauma, continues to inform my work both as a clinician and an aspiring writer.
